With Dragon Con almost here, it’s about time to release your inner geek!

Dragon Con is the multi-genre convention held in Atlanta, Georgia from September 4th to 7th that focuses on science fiction, fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music and film. And this year, the convention celebrates its 29th anniversary by inviting more than 400 guests of TV shows, feature films, animation, video games, authors, writers, performers, comedians, puppeteers and even scientists to the internationally known pop-culture convention. The expected attendance for the four-day event is more than 65,000 people from not only the United States, but also a handful of foreign countries, as well.

There will be many media guests in attendance, including Battlestar Galactica’s Edward James Olmos, Star Wars’ Peter Mayhew, Internet personality Felicia Day, as well as John Barrowman, David Ramsey and Stephen Amell, all from CW’s Arrow, head an all-star guest list. Nichelle Nichols, Star Trek’s Lt. Uhura, will serve as grand marshal of the Dragon Con Parade.

Previewing the convention, we interviewed Apocalypse Rising Track Director Shannon Chesnut to discuss the upcoming Zombie Walk and Zombie Prom.

We spoke with Costuming Track Director Lee Cox to discuss the convention’s incredible variety of cosplayers, both from attendees and invited guests.
