It’s a great weekend to be a geek!
The fifth-annual Geek Media Expo begins this weekend near Nashville, TN and no matter what type of geek you are, they’ve got you covered!
GMX is presented by ArtsCubed, a Nashville-based not-for-profit corporation. The mission of ArtsCubed is to advance popular visual, performing and literary arts — along with related cultural experiences central to the lives of the community — through events, outreach, education and associated initiatives.
Taking place at the Franklin Marriott Hotel, the Geek Media Expo runs programming from Friday November 1 to Sunday November 3, 2013.

– A $1,000 Prize Cosplay Contest
– Celebrity Guests from Game of Thrones (Amrita Acharia, Kristian Nairn)
– Celebrity Guests from Archer (Amber Nash, Lucky Yates)
– Comic Book Guests (Marv Wolfman, Eric Powell, Scott Christian Sava)
– Authors (Timothy Zahn, Cherie Priest, Robert Schwalb)
– Celebrity Actors (Steve Downes, Rob Paulsen, Jerry Lenz, Teal Sherer)
– Musical Acts (Cadets, JonesWorld, Lipstick, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, Shaker, Spoken Nerd, Them Vibes)
– Robot Battles (along with Robot Battles Creator Kelly Lockhart)
– GMX Speaker Series
– Multiple Room Parties (Room Party Rumble)
– GMX is partnering with charity, The Evolve Project, to instill positive self esteem and to fight bullying among children
