On May 6, 2013, Season Four has started production of The Walking Dead. While the new episodes won’t air until October, Yahoo recently offered a glimpse into the new season with the Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) publicity photo.
Also noteworthy:
– Chad Coleman (Tyrese) returns as a series regular for Season Four.
– Lawrence Gilliard Jr. joins the show as the character Bob Stookey. Stookey is a character from the graphic novel who will be reprising his role on the TV show. Stookey is a former military medic who was characterized as Woodbury’s town drunk in the graphic novels, tramautized by events both before and after the undead outbreak. This character is depicted older in the graphic novels. The TV version will be slightly younger.
– Both actors (Coleman and Gilliard) are alumni of the TV show, The Wire. Can we expect more alumni of The Wire to be brought onto The Walking Dead? Only the future will tell.
It’ll be a long summer hiatus, but I’m already looking forward to it!
