The Music City was transformed into Westeros and Essos at the recent Game of Thrones Way Late Play Date.

Nashville’s Adventure Science Center turned George R.R. Martin’s fantasy into reality. The adults-only party at the museum highlighted many science-themed activities and festivities throughout the evening.

Fans were encouraged to wear costumes of their favorite Game of Thrones characters and there were many dressed to impress at the event.

Tennessee Renaissance Festival actors joined in on the fun, fighting in a duel and awarding the costume contest winners the Iron Throne.

A Science Show of Fire and Ice, along with planetarium show, Stars of the Pharaohs, kept the guests entertained throughout the night.

Representatives of the Geek Media Expo, Nashville Zombie Walk, Mayday Brewery, Fat Bottom Brewing and Hip Hues T-Shirts & Prints all contributed to the big event.

As always, I had a blast at the Way Late Play Date. The Adventure Science Center knows how to throw a great party!

Make sure to mark your calendars:
The next Way Late Play Date will take place on Thursday July 23rd and the theme will be superheroes! That’s more than enough time to prepare your spandex costumes!
