Per Matt
Burlesque Off Broadway got a little witchy on Halloween night…

The Third Annual Witches’ Ball took place at Logue’s Black Raven Emporium in East Nashville on All Hallows’ Eve. Performed before a full-capacity audience amid the cozy speakeasy lounge, the variety show offered multiple entertainment options.

The first half of the show highlighted the dance troupe, which featured a group of regularly appearing dancers, along with a handful of guests. Shannon Million had multiple roles, including event organizer, MC and performer.

Among the highlights throughout the evening were a dominatrix with a spanking station, a costume-contest dance off with a variety of prizes (including visits to a local fortune-teller) and a locally shot movie, Race with the Devil, that was shown at intermission.

After the break, the crowd was enthralled with the moves of a highly skilled contortionist that had to be seen to be believed! Rounding out the evening was an impressive grinder girl and her assistant who closed the show. I really enjoyed that act.

This was my first visit to see Burlesque Off Broadway and I can safely say it won’t be my last. Going into the show, I had no idea what to expect. Now that I’ve seen the show once, I have no idea why I haven’t seen the show before now.

If you missed out on this Halloween-themed show, you really missed out. It was that great. Every show is unique and no show is performed twice. Tune in for another show sometime in November. I know I’ll be on the lookout. Thanks to everyone at Burlesque Off Broadway for putting on a stupendous show. Can’t wait to see the next one!
