Megacon 2014 is finally here!
It’s been a while since I attended my last Megacon, but I know it’s still an amazing convention and with all the guests and events lined up, I’ll be having a blast all weekend in Orlando!
Unofficially, Megacon will be Ground Zero for the Zombie Apocalypse. There are many celebrity guests from The Walking Dead who will be in attendance all weekend long, attending panels and signing autographs. Some of those include Emily Kinney (Beth), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) and David Morrissey (the Governor).
In addition to all of those guests, other TV series will be represented, as well, including:
– Smallville: John Glover, Allison Mack, Laura Vandervoort
– Battlestar Galactica: Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, Anne Lockhart, Herbert Jefferson Jr.
– Torchwood: James Marsters, John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Gareth David-Lloyd
– Star Wars: Peter Mayhew, Tom Kane
Other headliner guests include Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) and Will Wheaton (STNG, The Big Bang Theory).
There will be many great cosplayers from all over the country in attendance as well, including Ivy Doomkitty, Kristen Hughey and there will be a few more cosplayers incognito (be on the lookout for Nicole Marie Jean, as well as others without their costumes).
There will be many exhibitors in the vendor’s room, along with many sights to see, including Roxy the Rancor and the 501st Legion Stormtroopers.
There will be gaming rooms (video and table top), along with video rooms (anime, TV shows and movies). Looking forward to seeing the recent Troma releases, Return to Nuke ‘Em High Vol. 1 and 2.
There will be an incredible costume contest with 100 costumed characters in attendance, photo ops with the stars, Sci-Fi Speed Dating, Cosmos Party, The 5th Annual MEGACON Attendees After Party (’80s Toons Gone Wild), Geeks of Comedy and so much more.
