The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch continues to prove with each and every episode that something strange is happening within the Uinta Basin. But what if there were just as many unusual phenomena happening outside the property’s borders? Beyond Skinwalker Ranch explores that hypothesis.
Season 4 of Skinwalker Ranch has already hinted at unusual phenomena taking place outside its property, so this familiar spinoff, much like The Curse of Oak Island and its sister series, Beyond Oak Island, hopes to bring some clarity to that search for the truth. Outside its property lines, ex-CIA Agent Andy Bustamante and veteran journalist Paul Beban have been recruited to travel across America and investigate the unexplained, in order to uncover unusual evidence and reveal the truth, which lies somewhere… out there.
“This is just the beginning…”
By bringing in a former intelligence officer and an Emmy-winning journalist for this new initiative, Skinwalker Ranch owner, Brandon Fugal, along with investigator Erik Bard and astrophysicist Travis Taylor, hope to poke new hornets’ nests in order to collect data, using the assistance of many of the third-party experts who have worked at the mothership, in order to assist this new team.
In the series premiere, “Bradshaw Ranch,” Beban and Bustamante work well together for their very first project. In Sedona, AZ, they are presented with reports of a space-time portal on the filming location where Elvis Presley previously worked. Radiation anomalies lead to safety protocol discussions and camera failures (naturally). When broadcasting the 1.6 GHz signal frequency (that was previously recorded on Skinwalker Ranch), unusual activity is triggered.
And every time the team breaks out new instruments, they receive surprising new information.
I get all sorts of excited whenever this type of science fact is on display, regardless the show. Learning that it’s a privileged frequency, used only by the terrestrial military sent to outer space, but is eventually picked up on audio receivers when it’s not being broadcast, really makes you think someone else is out there, whether they’re extraterrestrial or not. Then there’s the two separate cameras picking up multiple unknown aircraft light patterns that quickly pulse through the night sky… and Dr. Travis Taylor later breaks down their evidence (What caused the diffraction pattern of gamma radiation?), which absolutely warrants more investigation.
While nothing out of this world is truly disproven during their first investigation, there aren’t too many facts presented by the pair that actually proves something strange, beyond a shadow of a doubt, was actually happening at this new location — just a whole lot of new questions are presented. I want to see more from this new team and hope they can uncover something substantial, in terms of evidence, and discover why these incidents are actually happening.
What will the next projects bring this team? It doesn’t matter, because I’m already hooked. I look forward to seeing what’s investigated next and hope that more people can finally realize the Skinwalker Ranch team is truly making progress in their search for finding answers to the unknown. All you’ve got to do is tune in to these shows in order to figure that out.
